..in my previous post, where I said I couldn’t draw zombies. I was wrong, as you can see (must’ve been the Misfits I was listening to last week). This is a large relief for me, as I’m a decent way through planning the ultimate z-apocalypse comic (more on this soon). This particular family of dead people will be appearing soon in the most unlikeliest of places…
Continue readingA transcript of the voice over of possibly my all-time favourite film trailer ever, Sudden Death from 1977. They certainly don’t write em like this any more; check out the illiteration.
Continue readingYes, we have, very busy. In fact, we’ve been pretty full-on all year, and over the summer it’s become quite frustrating sitting on all this awesome work and not being able to shout about it. Well now it does seem that the floodgates are metaphorically opening, and we’ve launched loads of stuff recently.

I feel like a zombie. My last holiday wasn’t even that long ago, but for the last few weeks I’ve been dreaming of websites, which I don’t like in the slightest, taking at least 2 hours to wake up every morning, and abandoning Shirley in favour of the bus every day. Shocking.
Continue readingThe act of jumping on bandwagons often proves to be a frustrating and disappointing exercise, and for good reason. The fact is that if a large amount of people like something, it’s generally shite in some way or another; Keane, Carlsberg, Nike, Pirates of the Caribbean, Communism. The list goes on. The bandwagon syndrome however, does have its advantages and sometimes reaffirms your faith in the oh so fickle “let’s all do the same thing” mentally.

Today, directly in the offices of Erskine Design (where I work) and extraordinarily aware of the absence of any real force of authority, I slacked off for one whole hour. No really, I did slack off, chimp style. I put my feet up, purchased myself a tasty beverage, and slumped.
Continue readingA brand new website, coming in your browsers! It’s been 80% finished and I’ve been 80% happy with it for a few months, so today I just thought fuck it, I’ll ‘launch’ it. So here it is, the new greg-wood.co.uk, a deliciously organized foray into the abnormalities and oddities of my grey matter. Or something.
Continue readingWith the iPhone finally being released soon here in the UK, the mobile web is “about to explode”, according to various sources. Explode in a good way, I presume. The question is, with the arrival of this landmark in the evolution of the mobile web, will us web-people have to reconsider the way we deal with this technology.
Continue readingSeeing as I’m averaging one post a month, I thought I’d better apologize to you, the expectant reader, and explain why. The truth is, Colly’s cracking the whip pretty hard, and Glen and I, as new recruits, are being forced to perform a number of hideous tasks as part of our ‘initiation’.
Continue readingClichéd title, I know. But I couldn’t think of a better or more appropriate one for this piece of news. 20 hours of public transport, numerous handshakes and a few nerves later, I’m absolutely chuffed to reveal that I’ll be starting work with Erskine Design.
Continue readingThe world is officially going crazy. Hundreds of people queuing for up to three days on end for a phone! If anyone can tell me a decent reason for giving up friends, family, home and any sort of comfort for this amount of time in order to purchase a phone (overpriced as it is), I’ll give you a pat on the back.
Continue readingPrimarily, the new Team Sangreal website has been successful launched over the last over the last hour. Being a part of this close-knit gaming community, it’s making me feel nice and warm inside to receive nice compliments from the other members. As with most medium to large projects, there are few things to smooth over (I think I’ve fixed most of the layout/IE problems), but it’s still looking good. Check it out. There’s also a brief write up of this project in the work section, of course.
Continue readingI’ve been having trouble defining myself on the web. I’ve been staring at three photoshop documents for hours trying to convince myself they are good enough. The pink tree thing you see now is the result of me deciding to go into web design after years of doing it as a hobby, but without ever really knowing what I was doing.
Continue readingI wonder how many blog titles share this one. Anyway, hope anyone who reads this had a good one and did more that I did, sat at home with the missus with some beer, wine, Kettle Chips, dip, chocolate, films and BBC1 fireworks (the most boring firework display ever sheerly due to the length of time they went on for). Still it was fun and was nice to wake up on New Years Day with a clear-ish head, and enjoy the customary walk along the beach with no headache.
Continue readingAren’t I lucky. I’ll be in the US of A for the next two weeks, enjoying the San Fran city life, skiing and gambling in Lake Taho, and doing as little as possible in the hills near Los Angeles somewhere.
Continue readingI’ve been inspired. Kicked into action due to all the recent restylings, I have decided to fill my spare time creating instead of sitting on my arse half watching Eastenders, half browsing Technorati.
